Donald Trump's Golf Courses Displayed Fake Time Magazine Cover

PM-1498590005 Trump has fake TIME magazine covers of himself hanging in his golf clubs

Time Magazine has asked the Trump organisation to take down any framed copies of a fake cover featuring Donald Trump, which have been prominently displayed in at least five of the US President's golf clubs.

There was, in fact, no Time cover on the date stated on the front of that fake cover, March 1, 2009. For one, the red border on the Trump cover was thinner than a normal TIME cover, and it lacks the thin white line that the magazine usually features. One person who beat him was Hillary Clinton, who now has been on Time's cover 30 times (Trump to date, now that he's President, has finally hit that 14 mark he claimed.) Another person who beat Trump and does have the all-time record?

Read the whole report at this link. An identical bar code shows up online in a graphic-design tutorial posted in 2010, in which a Peruvian designer laid out how to make a fake Time cover - complete with this bar code, for extra realism.

He wrote: 'Fake News CNN is looking at big management changes now that they got caught falsely pushing their phony Russian stories.

In Virginia, the phony Time cover hangs on the wall of the member's dining room at the Trump golf course in suburban Loudoun County, near Washington.

A little investigating, and a Washington Post contact with Time Magazine has confirmed that the cover is a fake, never existed, and likely is something Time could sue the President over if they wished to do so.

A deep dive in the Time archives reveals the weekly magazine's March 2, 2009 issue was printed with actress Kate Winslet on the cover.

While the cover itself will likely have no baring on the presidency, it is yet another look into the odd mind of Donald J. Trump.

That is wrong. Richard Nixon has appeared on far more than Trump.

In fact, it fits perfectly into Trump's entire career, personality, taste, and ever-more loosening grip on reality. The company has also asked the Trump Organization to remove the doctored covers from all locations where it is displayed. "I have six for politics and I have two for real estate or whatever they put me on for".

David Fahrenthold, a reporter for WaPo and CNN contributor, tweeted an update.
