The White House is considering moving press secretary Sean Spicer into a more senior role focused on strategy and bringing in a new spokesperson for President Donald Trump, according to a new report.
Politico reports that Spicer and Reince Priebus already has reached out to Laura Ingraham of Fox News for press secretary, and Daily Mail editor David Martosko for communications director. Michael Dubke was hired as communications director, but his departure a few weeks back left Spicer once again filling both positions.
Deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who regularly fills in when Spicer's unavailable, reportedly said she isn't interested in being press secretary.
The CNN reporter said he would like to ask Spicer if he is holding conversations with the president about issues like climate change, but that such interactions would not be on camera of recorded due to the White House's "stonewalling".
Sanders said in a statement, "We have sought input from many people as we look to expand our communications operation".

"Sean is indispensable and I think the president knows that". The announcement was made without any supporting communications plan, such as arranging surrogates who would defend the decision on cable television.
Some reporters, including The New York Times' White House correspondent, Maggie Haberman, reacted with surprise to the news that Spicer has been tasked with finding his own replacement.
His spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders, however, would later tell reporters the president "has no intention" to dismiss Mueller. Reports are circulating that Trump's inner circle is unanimous in trying to persuade the president not to fire Mueller.
