Trump suggests border wall with solar panels

Donald Trump Reportedly Suggested Covering Border Wall With Solar Panels Trump told GOP they could float putting solar panels on the border wall as long as they say it was his idea

Trump told the lawmakers they could talk about the solar-paneled wall as long as they said it was his idea.

United States President Donald Trump on Tuesday suggested the proposed wall along the southern borders of Mexico and USA could be covered in solar panels.

Trump's pledge to build the wall at Mexico's expense has backfired after the president acknowledged that taxpayers would be on the hook until a deal was struck with Mexico. "He's continuing to fight and following through on that promise".

In Trump's dreams, the wall towers 40-50 feet above the earth and gleams with solar panels, generating electricity that would essentially serve as the delicious cash needed to fund the wall, which is predicted to cost billions of dollars. "I'm glad that he continues to explore more ways to make sure that the wall can get done and help secure our border".

Trump did not float the eco-friendly proposal as a surefire solution, one person told the site.

"The revenue from the electricity will pay for the maintenance of the wall and the construction of the wall", said the 71-year-old. "Otherwise he's making a big mistake". The comments were first reported by Politico.

Even though Democrats tend to support renewable energy, it's unlikely that an offer to add solar panels would change their united opposition to any money to build Trump's wall. "It'll pay for itself".
