Bears likely ousting John Fox at end of season, report says

Falcons open as 6-point underdogs for wild-card game vs. Rams Falcons open as 6-point underdogs for wild-card game vs. Rams

ABOUT THE BEARS (5-10): Rookie Mitchell Trubisky believes there is a night-and-day difference from when he made his National Football League debut against Minnesota in Week 5 until now. Defensively, the Bears are top 10 in points and yards allowed. They are the No. 2 seed in the conference for the first time since 2009.

A win over Chicago would have them locked into the second seed where they would get a first-round bye while a loss puts them in danger of dropping to third and having to play on Wild Card Weekend.

If there were concerns raised on Sunday or by the last three games, it is that the Vikings haven't had to play a good team since they lost at Carolina on December 10, and haven't beaten a good team since they were in Atlanta on December 3.

Vikings running back Latavius Murray had a pair of touchdowns, while quarterback Case Keenum was 21 of 29 for 189 yards and one touchdown.

"I don't know if it's a good thing or bad thing", he said.

The 15-year veteran cornerback doesn't want his message to overshadow what would be a 13-3 regular season, the Vikings' best record since their 15-1 season in 1998.

Mitchell Trubisky finished his rookie season with a turnover-free game, completing 20 of 36 passes for 178 yards.

"This place is insane hard for teams to come in and play, especially with our defense". Fox's record in three seasons as the Bears head coach is now 14-34.

Keenum said 13-3 had "a nice ring to it".

Multiple outlets reported general manager Ryan Pace was expected to be retained - he was hired shortly after Fox arrived - and lead the search for a new coach. The Bears are 1-5 against each of their three NFC North foes under Fox. Stefon Diggs found the end zone in back-to-back weeks, but was limited to just one catch for four yards in the previous meeting with the Bears. That leaves that starting right guard spot up for grabs.

"It's a box that we checked", Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen said. Jeremiah Sirles will likely start for Easton while Joe Berger will slide from right guard to center.

Despite the Sunday's win, there was a calm in the Vikings' locker room.
