Corfman's lawsuit lists several denials made by Moore, including statements suggesting she and other accusers were paid - which both Corfman and the Post deny - or politically motivated. "Mr. Moore sexually abused Ms. Corfman in 1979, when she was 14 years old and he was in his early 30s, and Mr. Moore's denials of these facts are false and his characterizations of Ms. Corfman and her motivations are untrue".

Corfman's allegations were first detailed in a November 9 Washington Post story with those of three women, who said Moore pursued relationships with them when they were teenagers and he was in his early 30s. Several publications, including the Jewish publication Forward and the Washington Examiner, have claimed that the attorney she was referring to was Richard Jaffe, a Jewish attorney who represented Roy and Kayla's son, Caleb Moore, in a case several years ago. She instead seeks " a declaratory judgment of defamation, a public apology from Moore, and a court-enforced ban on him or his campaign publicly attacking her again", the Post reports. But the accusations by Corfman and other women, along with Moore's extremist record, help derail his Senate ambitions.

Representatives of his campaign could not immediately be reached for comment on Thursday. The suit also asks for "further relief as permitted by law and as the court deems appropriate". In addition, Corfman's mother recalls being approached outside the courthouse and she also learned about her daughter's "dates" with Moore decades before this election. She says he took her out, gave her alcohol, partially undressed her and himself, touched her intimately and made her touch him.

"Mr. Moore's continued attacks against Ms. Corfman after the election and the content of his affidavit demonstrate that if not enjoined, he will continue to defame Ms. Corfman, if simply for the objective of furthering his political goals", Corfman's attorney wrote in the lawsuit. "Mr. Moore and the Moore Campaign Committee will likely continue their defamation of Ms. Corfman unless this Court orders them to stop".

According to the lawsuit, Corfman is not asking for legal compensation.
