Although India hasn't responded to the official communication from the Pakistan high commission, government sources said that the incident and the charges are getting investigated.

Indian High Commissioner Ajit Bisaria on February 16 complained to Pakistan Foreign Secretary against multiple incidents of "hooliganism" against Indian personnel and their properties.

"This deliberate bullying is not confined to a single isolated event, but continues unabated in a series of incidents, especially targeting the children of our officers and staff", said the Pakistani statement, listing a series of alleged incidents.

The Pak high commission alleged that the children were harassed and blocked by Indian authorities while on way to school.

"Under the Vienna Convention, the safety and the security of Pakistani diplomats and their families is the responsibility of the Indian Government", read the statement.

Last month, there were intrusions into the Indian diplomatic residential complex under construction in Islamabad.

On Tuesday, a vehicle carrying school-going children of Pakistan's counselor was followed by "unknown persons on cars and motorcycles".

In other incidents on March 9, the naval adviser's vehicle was aggressively chased and a political counsellor was forcibly evicted from a cab and harassed by unknown persons, who used abusive language, threatened him and filmed the whole incident with impunity.

"Cases of harassment and intimidation are normal for Indian diplomats in Islamabad".

The provincial governor talked to the visiting delegation of foreign diplomats undergoing training at Foreign Service Academy in Islamabad quite appropriately and appreciably highlighted different aspects of foreign policy and its desire to live in peaceful co-existence with all countries particularly India and Afghanistan and hopefully have a better understanding in this regard now.

The two times he is referring to are the recent efforts which culminated on March 7, when Pakistan's Foreign minister Khwaja Asif agreed to External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj's request to exchange three categories of prisoners - women, disabled prisoners with special needs, and elderly inmates above 70 years.

The row between India and Pakistan over the treatment of each other's officials has escalated. The video, shot by the diplomat, was aired on several Pakistani television news channels.

The Pakistanis claimed the incident took place while the diplomat was returning to his home in Vasant Vihar.

On the other hand, officials at the Indian External Affairs Ministry have also accused Pakistan of harassing Indian diplomats, according to Indian media reports.
