The CEO of Starbucks said the two black men mistakenly arrested in a Philadelphia store will meet with him soon.

And on Monday morning, about two dozen protesters took over the Philadelphia shop, chanting slogans like, "A whole lot of racism, a whole lot of crap, Starbucks coffee is anti-black".

Officers went to the store after Starbucks employees called 911 to report the men were trespassing, said Police Commissioner Richard Ross.

The District Attorney's Office declined to charge the men, who have not been identified, and who were released eight hours later. Download The for your device.in English and other languages.

Johnson left the meeting vowing that what happened last Thursday will not happen again.

"When I saw the video, it sickened me because I began to think about my son, who's 23 years old and lives in Brooklyn", said Brewer.

Starbucks, which has 33 locations in Philadelphia, does not have a company-wide policy on asking members of the public to leave a store.

"Our store manager never intended for these men to be arrested and this should never have escalated as it did", said his statement.

"That ambiguity was part of what caused the problem, the ambiguity about when and whether to call the police", he said.

Even a Philadelphia Starbucks is under fire after the arrest of two men who they allege had been trespassing.

A company spokesperson said Starbucks does not have a broad policy prohibiting people from using restrooms or sitting inside for free, allowing individual stores to set their own rules.

NBC and CNN reported that Johnson was expected to meet with the two men. "We will hit them where it hurts and that's in their pockets", Abdul-Ali Muhammad of the Black and Brown Workers Cooperative said.

Here was the clinching statement that elevated his leadership: "These two gentlemen did not deserve what happened, and we are accountable". What I do know is that did not happen in this instance.

"I would like to have a dialogue with them to make sure we have the opportunity to really understand the situation and they can join me in finding constructive way to solve this issue", he told ABC's "Good Morning America" on Monday. "And that is what we're focused on".

But the employees of this Starbucks denied Ward the code for the bathroom, according to the footage.

The video of the arrest went viral, putting Starbucks in the spotlight as people accused the company of racial discrimination both online and in person.

Starbucks CEO Johnson said the company planned to "investigate the pertinent facts and make any necessary changes to our practices that would help prevent such an occurrence from ever happening again". That's his crew; they look just like that.' And so this was deeply personal for me to figure out what is going on here.

Numerous white patrons reportedly wondered why they have never been arrested while waiting to meet someone for coffee. He said that the company was reviewing its guidelines, which can differ among its 28,000 stores worldwide, and that it would invest in training about unconscious bias. However, they called the situation "unfortunate" and hinted that it might have gone differently had the men not have been black.
