The report, released Tuesday, revealed how much content has been removed for violating standards.
The social network said it took down 21 million pieces of adult nudity in the first three months of the year, according to its first Community Standards Enforcement Report. The company will continue publishing reports about the content they removed every six months.
The firm disabled about 583 million fake accounts which were disabled minutes after registering.

"As Mark Zuckerberg said at F8, we have a lot of work still to do to prevent abuse", Guy Rosen, Facebook's vice president of product management, wrote in a blog post.
Vice-President of Data Analytics Alex Schultz told the Guardian that Facebook just needs to figure out how to categorize those things for the report. The problem with trying to proactively scour Facebook for hate speech is that the company's AI can only understand so much at the moment.
Zuckerberg noted that there is still room for improvement with Facebook's AI tools - noticeably flagging hate-speech content. Hate speech is hard to flag using AI because it "often requires detailed scrutiny by our trained reviewers to understand context and decide whether the material violates standards", according to the report.
Facebook stated that artificial intelligence has played an essential role in helping the social media company flag down content.
The last stat that Facebook highlighted was hate speech; it admitted its technology wasn't very good at picking it up so it still gets reviewed by review teams.
While artificial intelligence is able to sort through nearly all spam and content glorifying al-Qaeda and ISIS and most violent and sexually explicit content, it is not yet able to do the same for attacks on people based on personal attributes like race, ethnicity, religion, or sexual and gender identity, the company said in its first ever Community Standards Enforcement Report. Facebook believes its policing system is better at scrubbing graphic violence, gratuitous nudity and terrorist propaganda from its social network than it is at removing racist, sexist and other hateful remarks.
While AI is getting more effective at flagging content, Facebook'shuman reviewers still have to finish the job. Facebook is expected to host summits in India, Singapore, and the U.S.
"Today's report gives you a detailed description of our internal processes and data methodology".
All told, Facebook took action on almost 1.6 billion pieces of content during the six months ending in March, a tiny fraction of all the activity on its social network, according to the company.
